TJ's Restaurant was established in 1970 in Springfield, NY. In 1989 the second location was opened on the famous Main Street in Cooperstown directly across the street from Doubleday Field.
TJ's Place/The Homeplate is a family owned and operated 175 seat restaurant. We at TJ's pride ourselves on home cooking. All of our food is prepared on premesis, featuring homemade bread, baked turkeys, fresh roast beef and many italian specialties. Our lunch menu is extensive with many wonderful sandwiches and wraps. Our Caesar salad is the best in the world. Our chef salad consisting of cheese, turkey and ham along with fresh iceberg lettuce is a dieter's delight.
We serve the breakfast of champions. The eggs are farm fresh and will be fixed any way you would like them. Our omelets are large; our meat portions are more than satisfactory, our Belgian waffles are made with whole butter, homogenized milk and the best ingredients we can find. From one egg to steak and eggs you will love our breakfast.
Kids are a big part of TJ's restaurant with families being our main interest. We want you to know that your children will be allowed to be themselves and enjoy the atmosphere of TJ's restaurant and store. You can dine with your children with ease, not worrying about the noise they are creating. It is our goal to create the best nourishing food for your children to enjoy. Every day we welcome parties up to 50 kids at a time. They love our chicken fingers, hamburger and french fries, spaghetti and meatballs, grilled cheese sandwiches and almost anything a child would want.
